Royalton CHIC Suites Cancun Resort

Getting to the Resort:

Getting to the resort from the Cancun airport is extremely easy. I always book a roundtrip shuttle ahead of time (You can get a private one or a shared one). This will take you from the airport to your resort and then at the end of your trip, from your resort to the airport. I usually book through Expedia and the cost is around $15-$20 USD for a shared shuttle.

Accommodations:

For our stay at Royalton CHIC Cancun, we were in room # 1123-3; a Luxury Junior Suite Ocean Front Room.

The room was beautiful and had an amazing view from the balcony!

Just a quick side note/tip, if you are not comfortable with the person you are traveling with, the bathroom situation could be a little weird for you. The shower & toilet areas do have doors, but they are pretty transparent, which means… not much privacy!

We had dinner here one night and the food was great. Also, perfect spot to see the sunset depending on the table you get!

Gourmet Marche: International Buffet.

We dined here for breakfast in the mornings. They had a great selection of anything you could want! Very good!

Agave: Mexican Cuisine

Grazie Italian Trattoria: Italian Cuisine

We had dinner here one night and loved the pizza. Also, the outdoor dining was perfect to enjoy the nice weather.

Pools/Beach Area

The Royalton CHIC has a nice beach area with lots of beach chairs to choose from. Plus, a pool with a swim up bar, the Diamond Club pool + Level 18 Rooftop Cabana Lounge (where you can go to the foam party!)

Onsite COVID Testing

At the time of our stay, FREE onsite COVID testing was offered to accommodate the travel requirements for American’s to return to the US. (We visited in March 2021, so be sure to check with the resort for up to date information regarding COVID testing and restrictions as this is constantly changing).

Location

If you are interested in checking out the nightlife, this resort is in the perfect location. You can easily walk to the popular nightclubs (Coco Bongo, Congo, etc). There are also many shops and restaurants within walking distance as well.

If you would like to go a bit further down the hotel zone strip, there are bus stops for the local bus located all along the strip. I highly recommend taking the bus over getting a taxi if you feel comfortable to do so. So much cheaper!
