Getting to the Resort:
Park Royal Golden Cancun is located in the hotel zone of Cancun. I would highly suggest setting up your transportation to the resort ahead of time. Yes, you can just grab a taxi upon arrival but I personally prefer to use one of the shuttle services. I usually book with Speedy Shuttle through Expedia. For a roundtrip shared shuttle it only cost about $15-18 USD. You can also do private shuttles which will cost more, I am unsure of the price as I have never used this option.
At the airport, once you go through customs, head out the door and look for the Speedy Shuttle/Expedia sign (or whichever company you book with). They will check you in and tell you where to wait on your shuttle. It can get crazy out there which is why I always suggest setting this up ahead of time to avoid any stress!Â
I only had to wait about 10 minutes before I was on the shuttle and heading to my resort.
Check In:
I arrived at Park Royal around 6pm and was immediately greeted by hotel staff as I stepped off the shuttle. I was shown where the check in desk was located and was helped very quickly. After getting my wristband and room key I met quickly with another staff member who gave me a map of the resort, an overview of all the places to eat, where they were located, etc. This was very helpful since it’s usually a bit hard to find your way around when first arriving!Â
Accommodations:
For my stay at Park Royal I was in room 2208. This room was very spacious and had a king size bed. Other features include a sitting area, 2 full length mirrors, many outlets to plug things in, and a safe to keep your valuables. I’d also like to mention there is a refrigerator & hairdryer in the room. I had read a few reviews on Trip Advisor prior to my arrival that the rooms did not have either, but my room had both! Maybe this is something new, but I felt it was worth mentioning.Â

Would love to go on an all-inclusive resort one day. Nice video coverage of the hotel room & great photos, too. Makes it more difficult to just stay home and not (yet) able travel. Can’t wait for the pandemic to be over.
I love your pictures!! And your article is so complete! Can’t wait to be able to travel again
