Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon is a beautiful resort to choose for your vacation in the Maldives! Situated on it’s own private island, this resort features room types such as beach bungalows as well as overwater bungalows. There is also an all-inclusive option which is what we opted for during our stay.  The all-inclusive option allowed us to eat and drink throughout our entire stay without the inconvenience of having to carry around cash all the time (aside from tipping, of course). Highly Recommend it!

Getting to the resort:

Once arriving into Male you will need to take a seaplane or boat to the resort. Be sure to arrange this in advance by contacting the property. There is a charge for this transfer so please keep this in mind. For our trip it was due upon our arrival.

Please also note that the seaplanes and boats do not operate 24/7. According to the resorts website if your flight is arriving after 4pm it is recommended to book a hotel in Male and get your transportation to the resort the following day.

Accommodations:

To see all the room options please visit the Ellaidhoo Maldives website HERE.

I traveled here with my mom and stepdad; We chose to stay in the overwater bungalows! This was a bucket list trip for me, so I knew I had to try making the overwater bungalows happen and surprisingly it was in our budget to do so! We booked 2 bungalows between 3 people and it was absolutely amazing! Please see below for a tour of my room as well as some photos. I do believe the overwater bungalows were renovated right after our stay, so if you are traveling here, these may be different during your stay.

Dining/Bars

EYZ Lounge & Bar: “The Sand Bar”. We came here on our last night and watched a live band play, so fun!

Malamathi Restaurant & Bar: This is located right by the overwater bungalows & pool. We ate all our meals here.

Serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. Also has a full bar.

Madi Restaurant: Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Iruohsnee Bar: Be sure to head over here at 5:30pm each day for feeding time! You will see a little bit of everything… sharks, sting rays, crabs, etc.

Video from our stay:

We had a great time staying at Ellaidhoo Maldives and would definitely recommend it for those looking to visit the Maldives. All the staff were great, the beach so beautiful and peaceful!  I would love to come back one day soon! *fingers crossed* LOL 🙂

  1. This looks so amazing, especially the overwater bungalows! Definitely worth it for a bucket list trip. And thank you for the tips on booking the seaplane early.
