*How did Varsity get started? Were you all friends that decided to form a group or was there an audition process?
Jayk and Drew we’re friend previously, it was an audition process..We’re all really close though! Best friends
*Were you all always interested in the music industry or for some of you was this a recent interest to pursue?
All of us we’re extremely interested in the music industry..this is honestly a dream come true…
*You’ve been working on your new album along side Ryan Tedder who is from the hit group One Republic, how is that coming? Will the album be dropping soon?
Working with Ryan was awesome, he’s extremely talented..We learned a lot and feel truly blessed to have worked with him..Our album is finished and the single is expected to drop in mid-spring!! We’re stoked
*You mention on your myspace that you’re preparing for a tour, do you have details on this yet?
We dont have the exact dates yet but as soon as we do we’ll make sure to update everyone with the exact dates!
*Do any of you play instruments? If so is this talent displayed on the album or will it be put to use in the live show?
Thomas plays a mean guitar! We all pretty much can play a little bit…But as far as our stage show, we are dancing and singing..We might throw the guitar in there sometimes for maybe a little acoustic performance..
*Who has inspired you guys to be where you are today?
There’s so many people but I’d have to say Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder , Madonna , U2 ,and Craig David to name a few
*If you could pick any one group or artist to tour with who would it be and why?
Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Cheetah girls, Britney Spears because the experience would be just amazing.. It would be awesome
*What are your goals for 2008?
Release a successful album, tour a boat load, meet as many fans as possible,
*If you couldn’t be a musician what is another career you’d be interested in?
David- A college mascot
Bobby- Acting or pro basketball player
Drew- A professional sleeper
Thomas- A mini golf instructor
Jayk- An NFL quarterback
*If someone were to compare you to todays competition, how would you set yourselves apart for the others?
We have the ability to actually play instruments and harmonize, we write a lot of our own material as well
*Tell us one thing about each of you that others may not know.
David- Taught dance all around the country
Thomas- Wants to get his pilot license
Drew- Dad is an Elvis impersonator
Bobby- His nickname is Bubba
Jayk- Can throw a football 60 yards
