The Honesty Interview | Put Me in the Picture | Dec. 2011

-Since our last interview there has been some changes with the band, can you tell us a bit about the current lineup & how the sound has changed (if any)?

The band is now a solo project, but the sound has not changed at all. We’re still as upbeat, energetic, and powerful as before.

-You released an EP “Find Comfort Here” recently, can you tell us a bit about the EP and why you chose to offer it for free?

The EP is really just a three song teaser of what’s to come for the band. It has a reproduced song that was released when we had our last singer, and two others. I chose to release it for free not only because I love all the fans that have supported me from the beginning, and are still supporting me, but I’m such a new band that I wanted people to have access to some of my music free of charge so they could get a good idea of what we’re about as a band.

-Fav. song on the EP?

The Way Out, it’s a very personal song to me, the lyrics really hit home, and I love how it came out.

-Fav. song to perform?

All of them. I don’t really release songs I wouldn’t absolutely love to play live. That way if you ever come to a show, you most likely will hear your favorite song by me too.

-What is the most embarrassing thing thats happened to you while performing?

I used to be a drummer in my past bands. I’d say the most embarrassing thing that happened was when I was in The Bigger Lights, and the intro to our set cut out right before we were supposed to start. In short, it was a disaster.

-Who is someone you would like to work with or play a show with in the future?

I’d love to play a show with just about anyone. As for working with someone, I’d love to work with Stephen Christian, Aaron Marsh, or Aaron Gillespie

-What is 1 thing you’d really like to see or do in your lifetime?

I’d love to get to write music for a living. It’s my greatest passion, and if I got to make a living out of it, it would be quite spectacular.

-Fav. movie?

I <3 Huckabees

-What was your fav. cartoon or tv show while growing up?

Boy Meets World

-If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would buy?

Probably a studio to record at home.

-Best advice you’ve ever been given:

Stay who you are.

-Any last words/message to your fans?
