-Who are some of your influences?
Live music, and we all listen to country. A lot of our inspiration stems from those roots. – Ryan
-How did you guys get together & where did the bands name, My Girl Friday, come from?
Ryan, Justin, and I have been friends our whole lives, and have been trying to do music related things since high school. Logan and Vic joined, and things took off. “My Girl Friday” comes from a 40′s movie called “His Girl Friday”. – Tyler
-How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
I would say the best way to describe it would be country rock. – Vic
-Your new album “American Kids” will be released 12-27-11, Can you tell us a bit about it & what it was like recording?
This album was the most fun to record of any of our previous releases. We used a lot of different instruments that we have never used before, and I think it turned out pretty cool! I think this record really challenged my vocals and we did some pretty interesting things with it. – Justin
-Do you have a fav. song on the album?
My personal favorite is “Rolling Stone”. – Tyler
-Fav. song to perform?
That would be “American Kids”. I love the feel of it and the reaction we get when we play it live. – Logan
-What is the most embarrassing thing thats happened to you while performing?
I tripped on a cable and fell on my ass. – Tyler

-What is something people may be surprised to find out about you?
We are country boys at heart. This probably won’t be surprising after the new record, but right now it probably is. – Vic
-Of all the shows you have played, is there 1 that stands out to you the most? If so, why?
I think I speak for everyone in saying the Highline Ballroom in NYC. Hands down the most fun we have ever had playing a show. – Logan

A mansion for my band. Then I would put the rest of it in savings. – Logan
