*Can you introduce yourself? My name is India Scandrick I was born on July 13 and I am the middle daughter of two other sisters.
*What was it like being the first African American Child in the History of the State of Georgia to ever go to Broadway as a Child Star? Making that big of a accomplishment was like winning the lottery to know that i had accomplished such a great achievement at such a young age.
*What was it like being young Nala in the Lion King on Broadway? Are you still performing with the cast? Being young nala on Broadway was a dream come true, exciting, and so much fun! No,as of right now im on call which means they can call me whenever they need a fill in.
*You were also in the Fantasia Burrino Life Time movie-Life is not a fairytale, can you tell us a bit about that? Sure! I played the teasing girl number 1. I got to meet and work with fantasia Barrino,Debbie Allen, Loreta devine,and more.
*Your performed your single Wrong Move in front of 10,000 people, what event was this at and what was it like having a crowd that size? Yea I performed for America sings. It was beyond awesome and energetic to have so many kids there screaming my name and singing along “Your Girl”, and “Wrong Move”. After I performed I signed autographs behind a gate for the kids and 15secs later the gate was being jumped! I would love to perform for a crowd like that again!
*You just performed at the Kids International Expo in Orlando, Fl with The Heartbeat Boys and Joey Page, what was it like being able to perform at the event along side these great artists? It was cool. I was grateful to share a stage with such great artists.
*Are you currently working on a cd? If so when will it be out?
I am working on a cd and am not sure the release date unfortunately
*Where would you like to be in the next 5 years?
touring on my own tour
*Who is the one person that has inspired you to be where you are?
Beyonce has inspired me to get into the game and my fans and family keeps me going with all the love and support.
*If you weren’t performing/singing what would you like to pursue? Maybe Gymnastics that would be cool
*You’re still very young, how do you juggle your career in the industry, school and keeping a some-what normal life? Its not very hard. My mom is a certified school teacher so she home schools me and my younger sister. I try to keep in touch and talk on the phone with my friends on a regular basis
