*Can you introduce yourself? My name is Emile Diego Doles and I’m the “heart throb” in the HeartBeat Boys.
*When did you get your start in performing? Was it something you always wanted to do? Well, from the beginning I knew I wanted to be a performer. I have been performing in musical theater pretty much my whole life. When I was 13 I joined The Pop Shop, where I learned to sing pop and dance Hip-hop. After doing that for one of their seasons I auditioned for the HeartBeat Boys.
*How did you become part of the group The Heartbeat Boys? Well I had worked with the opera company before and a lady from the opera company called me and told me I should go to this audition for a new group called the HeartBeat Boys, I said I’d love to so she set up an audition for my friend Nat and I. We both made it.
*You’ve had the opportunity to perform in front of very large crowds, what do you love most about that? The screaming girls! haha
*What is your favorite song to perform live? My favorite song to perform would probably be our newest song called Searching.
*What is something you’d like to accompish in your career? (This can be now or 30 years from now) I’d like to be on my own solo tour kind of like Justin Timberlake.
*Are there any plans for a tour this year? Well the HeartBeat Boys are possibly going to London in July and china in August, and we are working on a possible tour with another group but I can’t tell you guys yet.
*If you could tour with anyone who would it be? Justin Timberlake….or Elvis
*Who are your inspirations? Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Robin Thicke, and Elvis.
*Your single “Christmas oh Christmas” went to number one on the billboard charts and beat out HSM’s What time is it, how did it feel when you found out you had a song that went number 1 on billboard? That was a shocker. Lol but I was really happy that I could say I had song that went number one on the charts.
*Is there a full-length album in the works? Yes, we have actually already finished it and it will be coming out July-ish
*What is your most embarrassing moment? Whether it’s on-stage or off. Well I’d have to say at one of the HeartBeat Boys first shows I was singing my first and some kid pulled the power cord and everything shut down. That was an awkward 30 seconds.
*You’re working with Maurice Starr who is known for The New Kids on the Block, that has to be a bit nerve wracking since they’re making a comeback. Do you feel you have big shoes to fill, or does it not bother you? I’m not really bothered by it because we’re both talented groups.
*Message for your fans? I just want to say to all my fans that I wouldn’t be anywhere without fans like you guys. You guys rock and thank you so much for the support you give to the HeartBeat Boys.
