-Introduce yourself:
What’s up, everyone? I’m Chase Fowler.
-Who are your influences?
If you name it, I’ve probaly drawn from it. I draw musical influences from just about everyone. From Marvin Gaye to Chris Brown, Air Supply to Kelly Clarkson, Garth Brooks to Toby Keith. Musical influences are all around us. I just draw from anyone and everyone really.
-What are your goals for 2008?
2008′s going to bring me to a whole new stage in my life. I’m going to be graduating high school! To walk across that stage and accept my diploma is a huge goal I’ve set for 2008. I guess this is where I should say, “Stay in school!” My other goals are, basically, to continue to perform and make music while gaining new friends and fans along the way.
-Is there a particular artist you’d like to do a show with?
I would love the opportunity to perform with Kelly Clarkson. It may seem weird to some, I know. But I’ve been a Kelly Clarkson fan ever since I saw her first performance on American Idol: Season 1. To share the stage with her would be unbelievable.
-Are you currently working on recording a CD?
Currently? No. But there’s no telling what the future has in store. As for now, I’m just working on building up a good, solid fanbase.
-Tell us a little about when you performed with ‘Legends Live”. How old were you when you did this?
I performed with the “Legends Live” for about 2 or 3 years. I was 14 or 15 when I first began performing with them. We were a pretty close-knit group of performers who travelled the Upstate, covering Motown hits and Oldies at different events and venues. A lot of our performances were for charity functions. Performing with the “Legends” allowed me to make new friends, meet new fans, and grow as a person and performer.
-What was it like Auditioning for American Idol? Do you have a new perspective of the show after the audition process?
The audition process for American Idol is far from what we see on television. It was long, strenuous, and, at times, grueling, but I loved every second of it! I most definitely have a new perspective of the show after my audition, but it still remains a positive one. Auditioning for American Idol was a journey I will always be grateful for. I will treasure my Idol experience forever. (All the juicy details can be found in my blog.)
-You were originally a part of UNITED, how long were you a part of the group before becoming a solo artist?
I’ve always been a solo artist. In fact, UNITED was an experimental “boy band” that was formed from 5 solo artists. We worked hard on completing a demo with a production label based out of Orlando, and we remained a group for a year or so. The majority of the group decided that things weren’t heading in the direction they had foreseen or hoped for. When the group disassembled, I was offered the opportunity to work solo with the same production company that was backing UNITED. I’ve conitinued to work solo ever since.
-Ultimately what do you hope to accomplish in your career?
I pray that I will always be able to share my music with others, and, by doing so, reach out to those who share my love for music. I simply love to perform. And when you can reach out and “grab” the audience with your performance, you know it’s all worthwhile. I’d like to hope that, ultimately, I will be able to continue to make music, share it with others, and–in the long run–record a full length album, eventually touring.

-What is your fav. food/or restaurant?
Food! I’m a Chic-fil-A kind of guy, really. I also dig Japanese food. I love fried rice.
-What is your Fav. song at the moment?
You’re going to limit me to one song? Haha. Let’s see. My favorite song at the moment would probably be “Three Cheers for Five Years” by Mayday Parade. All of their music is unbelievable.
-1 thing you could not live without:
We’d probably have problems if I didn’t have my iPod. Haha. That thing goes everywhere with me.You never know when you might need to jam!
