Adam Tyler Interview | Put Me in the Picture | Jan. 2010

Introduce Yourself: Hello PMITP Promotions!!!  Adam Tyler here!  I’m addicted to pop music and Jamba Juice!

How did you get your start in singing: I started singing when I was little, probably around the age of 5 or 6.  But it wasn’t until the age of 11 that I started writing songs and taking singing more seriously.

-Who are some of your influences? I listen to SO much music, and take inspiration from all the artists I listen to.  Some of them include Lady Gaga, Nine Inch Nails, George Michael, Britney, Madonna, Robyn, and I’m also inspired by a lot of producers as well, like Elias Kapari, William Orbit, Fernando Garibay, Bloodshy & Avant, RedOne, and so many more!

-How do you feel about being called the ‘male Lady Gaga’? Lady Gaga is incredibly talented and I love how creative she is, so I only take that as a huge compliment!  Plus… look how successful she is!!  If I achieve an ounce of what she has my parents will be the proudest parents ever!  Haha…

Are you currently working on an album, and if so when can we expect to see it available to purchase? My album’s done, but depending on future tracks I do and when it’s released, it might be tweaked to include newer songs.  At the moment I’m working with Australian producer Paul Hetherington on an exciting project, and American producer Sky Felix on some really killer tracks.  I plan on releasing a couple of free tracks for the fans in the future, and my next release available for purchase will be early 2011!

-Fav. song to perform? My favorite song to perform is Schizophrenic… love how aggressive and crazy it is, haha!

What is the most embarrassing thing thats happened to you while performing? When I was performing during the video shoot for “Friction”, I ended up falling off the back of the couch!  And unfortunately for me, all of the cast and crew saw it happen!

Who is someone you would like to work with or play a show with in the future?  I would love to collaborate with Robyn.  I think she’s an incredible songwriter, and I love her creativity and her voice is amazing.

Fav. band/artist of all time: It’s so tough to answer because I listen to so much music, but I guess I’ll go with Madonna.  Her album “Ray of Light” is still my favorite album of all time… the production is incredible and there’s not really a bad song on it.

-What is something people may be surprised to find out about you? I used to collect and make pogs when I was a little kid.  GOOD TIMES!

What would you want to see/do if you found out the world was going to end in 1 week? I’d travel to as many places as I could, and try as many new things as I could… like sky diving, bungee jumping, and hang-gliding!  And if I hadn’t already released my album, I’d release it right away so everyone could hear all the music I’ve made!  =D

-As a kid, what was your best Halloween costume? I was a pretty awesome Dracula when I was abut 4, I must say!  Haha…

-First concert you ever attended? I think it was the Spice Girls back in 1998.

What was your fav. cartoon or tv show while growing up? Rugrats… those little babies were the best!

-Any last words/message to your fans? I’m so grateful for all the support and love everyone’s given me, and I can’t wait to give you all some new music!  =D
